The Academy

Development Beyond the Team Roster

Vikings Baseball Academy is now offering a year-round development option for players in the Classes of 2032, 2033, and 2034 who want consistent, structured baseball training.

This is not a team and is not designed to fill out a roster.

The Academy is built for players who want to train, develop, and prepare for the next level without having to join another travel team. Players can continue playing for their existing teams while using Vikings Baseball Academy as their development program.

What Players Get

Build the Complete Player

Academy athletes will train 3 days per week in a structured development environment focused on building complete baseball players.

Foundation

Skill Development

Fundamentals, mechanics, defensive work, hitting, baserunning, baseball IQ, and position-specific development.

Progress

Player Growth

Building confidence, consistency, strength, athleticism, and a better understanding of how to play the game.

Exposure

Train Alongside Upperclassmen

Younger athletes will have opportunities to work around and alongside older players, giving them exposure to the pace, expectations, and habits required as they progress toward high school baseball.

Continuity

Train With Vanden High School Coaches

Players receive instruction and guidance from coaches involved with the Vanden High School baseball program, helping create continuity between youth development and the expectations players will eventually encounter at the high school level.

A Structured 3-Day Training Week

Every Day Has a Purpose

The Academy isn't simply three additional baseball practices. Each day has a specific purpose.

This structure develops players while being intentional about throwing volume, recovery, arm care, strength, mechanics, and overall workload.

The goal is quality development—not simply more reps.

01

Non-Throwing Day

Baserunning, hitting, recovery, athleticism, mechanics, and baseball movement without adding throwing volume.

02

Moderate / High Throwing Day

A purposeful workload day for throwing development, position work, mechanics, and intent.

03

Light Throwing Day

Controlled throwing paired with skill work, arm care, and intentional preparation for the athlete's complete weekly workload.

Who Is It For?

Built for Players Who Want More Development

Vikings Baseball Academy is currently open to players in the Classes of 2032, 2033, and 2034.

  • Players who want additional development outside their current team.
  • Athletes preparing for the transition to the larger field and, eventually, high school baseball.
  • Families looking for consistent instruction without committing to another full team schedule.

Prepared for What Comes Next.

Our goal is bigger than winning youth baseball games. We want to develop players who understand the game, play fundamentally sound baseball, know how to work, and are prepared for what will be expected of them as they move toward high school.
